Connie Gray - The Beginning

Our new company would always be a stylish brand of scented home products and so it seemed only right that our first meeting would take place in the idyllic setting of a Victorian pub in the heart of London. Perfect really as without knowing if at the time we had already themed our brand around the place in the world we love best. With a glass of red and that little book of notes we got started.

Why candles? Well with a passion for scent and a love of home it seemed perfect. Candles create ambience and warmth within a home with the soft flicker and gentle glow. They set the mood for all occasions whether, a summer evening BBQ or a candlelight dinner. They transform settings.

Why scent? Being raised by your grandmother had its advantages and the one was that she new her own style. She smart and elegant. She, like other women of her era wore a signature scent that would linger beautifully when you were in her presence, a scent that recreating was so important to us. Our strong ethos is that we want our scents to create memories. Life is a building block of memories and every day you add to this. Many times you will smell something and think about a place or person creating a happy or warm memory. Our scents are made with the finest perfumes creating delicate memories as they burn.

The Brand! Contemporary, elegant, clean and stylish was always going to set the tone for our candles. With a background in branding and expertise in perfecting packaging Mark set to work coming up with ideas. The candle was to fit comfortably into any home, as after all we are a luxury home brand. The name was perfect showing our fondest memory. The font was clean and elegant and the rest is now history.
